Hosa's DIB­307 active direct box allows you to send your low­level guitar or bass signals directly to the mixing console via either hi­Z or low­Z cabling. A special Amp In feature allows the unit to accept AMPLIFIED signal from a guitar or bass amp's speaker output. Using this feature, you can send not just the sound of your instrument, but also the sound of your amplifier, including any desirable overdrive or distortion set at the amp. The DIB­307 is powered by a 9­volt battery (included), and automatically switches noiselessly to phantom powering from the mixing console when that voltage is present. A ground­lift switch aids in canceling hum and buzz caused by audio system ground loops. The chassis features a rugged, die cast aluminum design.
